End of Mid-term Celebration
I say that on Friday, due to the end of Mid terms, we all go out to Sapporo and enjoy our favorite entries.
I don't know everyone's schedule though so lets try and find a time we can all agree upon. I'm free all day so any time is good for me.

who's up for a dinner at Sapporo? say around 6? Current Mood: preemptivly hungry

It is difficult to articulate how I would enjoy a plate of Sapporo's succulent nectar that they call gyoza right now. How I miss the flourish with which the Korean Teriyaki man, in his best house apron, shouts "Gyoza platter" behind him to make your order known to his mexican staff, and the baroque tapestry of flavors as their teriyaki sauce is perfectly married to the tenderness of fried dumpling.

Bonus Chicken w/ a side of Gyoza
Some people should hit up sapporo's and get me an order of the Bonus Chicken w/a side of gyoza. Not that I don't intend to pay you, it' s just that I'm feeling rather crappy and don't plan on leaving the house. Payment will be recieved on Delivery. Current Mood: sick

I think tomorrow night (as in Monday night) will be a Sapporo night. Who else agrees?

Dylan, Barril, Zach, Paul, and I went to Sapporo for dinner around eight o'clock, and it was truly magnificent. Zach and I both had the fabulous Chicken Katsu, and Dylan had Yakisoba, which he baptized with chili sauce. Barril purchased only miso soup, and Paul purchased only a can of seven up, which we can all agree tasted better by virtue of it's being from Sapporo.
Aaron and I got some food to go while picking up some milk from SafeWay. Aaron got the Beef Yakisoba, and I got the "Bonus" Chicken Special with a side of Gyoza. Both of us can agree that as always, it was excellent.

So I was thinking to myself, it would be most excellent to have sapporo for lunch/dinner. Anyone else up for it? Current Mood: hungry

Teriyaki man is incredible.
Yesterday I visited the hospital so I could get a 'scrip for my ear infection, and Dylan was kind enough to drive me. On the way back, we stopped at Red Robin (it was nearly eleven in the PM, or we would have gone to Sapporo) and we found, in the booth adjacent to us, the Teriyaki man's wife and daughter, enjoying a feast of hamburgers and other assorted things that were (sadly) not from Sapporo.
We had teriyaki burgers, as the closest possible proxy for bonus chicken.

Tonight marked my first (but most definitely not my last) trip to Saporro, where I ordered the amazing chicken katsu. I believe that the word "sextacular" should be coined exclusively for use with describing just how awesome the food was, and I'm already looking forward to ordering the same thing next time I go.
Steve, Jon, Douglass, and I will be hitting up Saporro momentarily. I know this is a last minute thing, but you all are welcome to join us.

Is Anyone Else Hungry?
How about some of that greatness scooped from the rice cooker of heaven called sapporo's? anyone up for some?

Tonight, I ate at a place that was distinctly not Sapporo, and it was significantly less excellent than Sapporo would have been.

Thinking of going to Sapporo tonight. Any takers?
|Monday, January 10th, 2005|
We had eight people; me, Yamen, Will, Steve, Zach, Aaron, Chicky, and Mike. I'd like to make a particular mention of Will, who had not been to Sapporo before, and who was thoroughly impressed with the chicken katsu. I had katsu with a side of gyoza, but I'm not really sure what everyone else ordered, except I know Steve had hot spicy chicken, and this was notable because he had not ordered it before. Yamen had a combo with beef and chicken, zach and I both had Katsu, and he had an egg roll, nay, a bonus
egg roll. I'm not sure about Mike, Chicky, or Aaron. THe food was, as always, superlative.
First official Teriyaki meeting tonight
At 5:45 PM at Sapporo Teriayki, looking to have a group of aboutten people. I, personally will be ordering Chicken Katsu, as will Zach. I will post here again after we get back, with a full debriefing and aftermath assessment.
